On Saturday 2nd September 2017 at the Civil Service Club, Great Scotland Yard, London SW1, the 3rd Metropolitan Grand Principal E Comp Robert Chevin, PGSoj, visited the Principals and Companions of Norfolk and Garden City Chapter No. 2852

The Chapter was under the Inspectorate of E Comp Chevin when he was Metropolitan Grand Inspector and he returned, to be among old friends, for the first time since his appointment to the exalted rank of 3rd Metropolitan Grand Principal.

E Comp Robert Chevin was accompanied by an Escorting Officer, E Comp Tony Shepherd, LGCR, Metropolitan Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies. The Chapter’s Senior Visiting Officer E Comp Jeffrey Penfold, PAGDC and Visiting Officer, E Comp Ronald Jenkins, SLGCR were also in attendance.

The members and guests were treated to a fascinating and highly informative presentation entitled “Who were the Characters of Royal Arch Officers”. Curated and led by MEZ E Comp Trevor Armstrong, SLGCR, the presentation consisted of the Officers of the Chapter individually standing and explaining their origins, together with their historical and symbolical significance. To conclude proceedings, the 3rd Metropolitan Grand Principal presented Comp Rajnikant Shah with his Supreme Grand Chapter Certificate.

18 Companions then retired to enjoy an excellent Festive Board within the Civil Service Club.
